Wallets
So I bought 2 of the coolest wallets ever. That sounds good, right? But I did a custom order which is not returnable and I just got gifted a brand new red purse for my birthday. Said red purse totally does not match with said 2 coolest wallets ever. So, I'm gonna try to sell the wallets at a loss and get my type-A self some matching wallets. Sigh.
Here's where you come in - you could buy my wallets!
The long wallet has 7 open sections plus one zippered section. It has a magnet snap closure. It is big enough to fit a checkbook. I got this long wallet as a better alternative than pulling out my uber-cool category-marked cash envelopes all the time. It would also be great for coupons although I'd be lying if I said I was gonna use it for those. I have 5 kids, people. I have no time left for coupons. I have a friend with 7 kids and she just started homeschooling and SHE does coupons. Come to think of it, she might buy these. Anyway...
Long wallet measurements:
Length: 8.0"Height: 4.0"Pocket Depth: 3.0"Zip Length: 7.6"

Sorry those last two pictures flipped for some reason and I couldn't turn them.
SMALL WALLET:
The smaller wallet I planned to use to organize my scads of frequent buyer cards, along with my debit and credit cards, library cards, etc. They really don't all fit in my regular wallet and this one has plenty of room! The small wallet has 7 open spaces and one zippered space. It has a magnet snap closure and a little handle along the top.
Small wallet measurements:
Width: 4.3"Height: 3.3"Pocket Depth: 2.5"Zip Length: 3.5"

Man, these things are so cool I can hardly believe it. I love them. So perfect for the Dave Ramseying ladies out there. ;-) They are completely unused and the sewing quality is excellent.
They cost me $49 and I'm selling them as a pair for $37 (or for $39 if I need to ship it to you). Shipping in the US only.
Email me if you're interested: melcran.at.sbcglobal.dot.net
Thanks for listening to my sob story. Could you be the one to cherish these 2 deserving lovelies?

Monica

My Ezra
How can the same child that produced this...

produce THIS?!

It's going to be an interesting school year, folks! My dear sweet Ezra has the energy of a tornado, the creativity of Einstein, and the motivation to please me of a gnat. He is the strangest mix of genuine love and goodness (as shown in the first photo) and unharnessed curiousity and spitfire (as shown in the "radio tower" handwriting practice which took him 35 minutes to do).
Good thing I love him so much!

Looking for Old Martha Stewart Living Magazines
I am working on a project and need Martha Stewart Living magazines from 2002 or earlier. Anybody near me have some laying around? All I would need to do is copy the calendar from each magazine.
OR
Let me tell you what I'm trying to do and maybe you can help me with a resource I don't know about. My husband has mentioned several times that he wishes he had a calendar that reminds him of everything that needs to be done around the house and yard throughout the year. So, of course, hearing that and loving to make anything crafty...I'm gonna make him a cool one for Christmas. It's gonna have things on it like dig up Canna tubers, fertilize strawberries, put in storm windows, switch furnace to winter setting, etc. throughout the appropriate months. Martha Stewart, prior to early 2003, used to have calendars with such things in her magazines but maybe there's an online resource with lists of such tasks that should go on a calendar. And yeah, I already checked my library and they do not have Martha Stewart from that long ago.
Anybody got any ideas??
Thanks!

Three fun little words...GIVE. A. WAY.
Yes, it's a giveaway! Two people will be chosen to win one in-stock item of their choice from my website, Sweet Baby Things.
I originally started Sweet Baby Things as a way to help fund our adoption costs for the two kids we were adopting from Ethiopia. We've been home with the kids for a couple months now and we recently found out that the paperwork costs to complete the adoption in the U.S. will actually total about $2000. We are also going to have some pretty hefty dental bills for sweet Solomon as he has extensive tooth decay - a couple teeth rotted off to near the gums and many hollowed out from decay.
I've been thinking for awhile about adding another product to the site and I've finally done it...it's pillowcase dresses! (They're really cute, in my unbiased opinion. Even my husband thinks so and he's totally unbiased, as well.) Now, I just need to do some marketing and that's where this giveaway comes in.
So, here's how it works. Please leave one comment on this post for each category you complete (one time per category). One comment equals one entry for the giveaway. So if you do 5 of the things below, you get to leave 5 comments and are entered 5 times. Cool, huh? Here are the ways to enter:
1. Write a post on your blog about this giveaway with a link to: http://www.sweetbabythings.net/. Leave a comment here including a link to your blog post. If you get your husband to post one on his blog he can leave a comment, too. ;-)
2. Tweet about this giveaway with a link to http://www.sweetbabythings.net/. Post a link to your tweet in your comment to this post.
3. Post about my giveaway on Facebook and link to http://www.sweetbabythings.net/. Post a comment letting me know you did this.
4. Grab the Sweet Baby Things button and put it on your blog or website...and leave it there after the giveaway ;-) Instructions for this are under my button at the top of the right-hand column.
5. If you have ever used an item from Sweet Baby Things, take a picture of your sweet baby using or wearing it and email me the picture for the Sweet Baby Things photo gallery. Email the photo(s) to sweetbabythings@mellen-crandell.com. Leave a comment on this post letting me know you have emailed me a picture. (Please make sure only your own children are in the photo or that you obtain permission from the parent(s) of other kids for me to post their photo on my website.)
6. Subscribe to Sweet Baby Things here: http://www.sweetbabythings.net/Subscribe.aspx. Post a comment letting me know you subscribed.
7. If you have loved a product from Sweet Baby Things, write a customer testimonial for my website. You can just post your testimonial as your comment along with your first name and last initial.
Comments need to fit one of these entry criteria to make it past our stringent comment moderator. Also, please make sure to leave your email address if it's not linked to a blogger account. I have to have a way to contact you if you win! The winners will have 48 hours from the time I email them to contact me back and claim their prize. If I have not heard back from them within 48 hours, they forfeit their prize and a new winner will be randomly chosen. Open to U.S. residents only.
The deadline for the first drawing will be June 8th at 11:59pm. After that drawing, all the valid comment entries from the first giveaway (minus the first winner) will be eligible for the second giveaway, plus anyone else who makes valid posts before the second giveaway deadline of 11:59pm on June 15th.
Lastly, I want to THANK YOU all in advance for your marketing assistance! We appreciate this more than you can imagine! We have been blessed by so many of you purchasing from us, telling your friends about us, praying for us, and in many other ways as well. I wish you could all win, but I don't think my family would ever see me again if I had to sew that much! And my hubby and 5 kids are such a joy - I would miss them dearly.
Blessings,
Monica
